We are OBSESSED with Scantilly here at Curvy Kate HQ, so much so we decided that we don’t need to cover its gorgeousness up with outer-wear! We’re going to wear it as outerwear! So instead of expecting our beautiful customers to be the first to test out Scantilly as street-style staples. We trialled it ourselves…
PR girl Aneela (wearing a 30F) braved the London streets and showed us ways to style our fave bras. To show exactly how we would wear our Scantilly our way in the rare sun.
Up first is Unleash. Unleash with its leather-effect cup and gold hardware screams out to my inner punk, as this bra has no sheer fabric insight you won’t give a peep show to all the passersby’s. A high-waist trouser keeps thing classy and the leather jacket ties it all together. Feeling slightly less brave? A sheer lace or mesh body over the top gives you coverage but still shows off this lush bra.
Okay, did we tell you Entwine is on sale?? Oh hell yeah, you can grab this baby for £20!! Before you head off for your spree, I aimed for a chic evening look using the Entwine bra as the star of the show. The ribbons can be styled in many ways to make it truly yours. I tied a bow around my waist (it is a little cock-eyed in this photo, I swear it looked right when I tied it!), as a way to finish the look. If pencil skirts aren’t your thing, pair with some shorts or high-waist denim.
The sheer panels and feathery embroidery of the Surrender basque make it a very brave choice for daytime, but paired with a boiler suit throws back to retro vibes and keeps your best bits covered. The basque peeking through creates a new dimension of interest on an otherwise plain outfit. If you are taller than 5″2 you could probably get away with a pair of trainers rather than heels :’).
No, I didn’t scale a wall to get this shot…well, I may have done. I like a bit of drama for evening wear, and what’s moooore perfect than Voodoo for a little theatre? The mesh body showcases the strappy detail without being in your face, paired with other soft fabrics and a blazer, for the perfect evening ensemble.
Styling your bras as outerwear can be a challenge but allows you to showcase your fave lingerie in a fun way. So we would love to see how you would style your Scantilly. You can see more of my looks on Insta – @little_leeli
So that is how I would style Scantilly! How would you style yours? Share with us #StyleYourScantilly and your snap might get shared across social!
