This duo are London born cousins Kicia and Nyome, they both grew up together and see themselves as best friends as well as family. 
Kicia is 29 years old and educates and trains beauty therapists. She loves to bake, write and play around with makeup, it keeps herself creative in her spare time. Kicia is always up for a debate, especially with her family and friends. Kicia spoke on her body “I would definitely say I am more critical of my own body and complimentary of my friends and family. I think this is because it is always easier to see good parts of others that you might wish you had yourself.” She went on to say, “We only have one body to carry us through life so best to be at peace and comfortable with it”. Kicia also went on to speak about how the experience made her feel about herself “Happy, body confident individual with a killer personality so the rest really doesn’t matter. I’m happy with who and what I am and who I am still growing into as a woman”.

Nyome or Ny is a plus-size model and a body positive advocate, she is an empowered and confident so she loves to empower women no matter their dress or bra size. She spoke about her experience on set, “The fact that I was a part of something great and that I was able to be in a Curvy Kate campaign. It is such a HUGE deal for me as a model and is so important for women to see other women’s body shapes like theirs being celebrated.” Nyome continues “I am very vocal mostly on social media on why I feel self-love is vitally essential to learning to become our best selves. I will, however, continue to speak on how important it is that we are super caring about how we talk and treat our bodies.”

Kicia spoke about sharing this experience, ‘”It was a really lovely experience to share together, celebrating each other and something that we will always be able to look back on which I am really grateful for. I am all for spreading the love, the better you feel about yourself the more natural and comfortable you become expressing that with others”; she continued “I really enjoyed the experience and what the campaign is trying to achieve. I think there should be more like this to really bring home the fact that women come in all different shapes, sizes and colours”.
